I was wondering what you guys thought about me placing the dots as the background and overlaying the titles and information on top. Let me know what you think please :)
I think that this is a cool idea. But it gets busy in the overlay. Maybe you could lighten the black dots to grey?
I was thinking it would be cool if you separated the crime bit on it's own. I know a major point of the poster is to show how small the crime rate is compared to the total population. This is done very effectively. Maybe you could add something like a "zoom in" feature that shows a distribution of the total crime by type.
