Project 1

Here is my infographic for project one. I still can't decide what to make my background color.

  1. It's looking really good, Glen. I like the addition of color and how clean everything is looking. My advice is to add some explanatory text, but I'm pretty sure that you plan to do that anyway.

  2. Glen, it seems that your infographic is taking form now.

    Some things to consider...

    - You should give more importance to the house character. It is competing for attention with the graphs. Make it bigger and more important.

    - Trying getting rid of the blue background of the graphs and instead add color to the graphs (thicker lines, etc). Make them important and visually interesting without having to add any extra background, because it is creating a disconnection between your elements. Or add a color background for all the piece.

    - Less color on the tittle letters will make it look still playful but as it is dealing with really serious issues.

    - Could you make the cartoon less linear, with more dimension? Look at how cartoons include shades, contours, etc that you could include in yours. It is about making it less plain.

  3. wow, you really have a talent for art! if you could put more detail in the blue ice pack on the house's head it would help though, as it took me a second to figure out what it was. I'm still really impressed with your talent though. the graph's lines are also not that obvious, especially the price of crude oil one, but still that might just be the fact that it's on the computer.
